Leading chartered surveyors group Berrys continues its expansion in the North West with the appointment of farmer’s son Andrew Sellick to its growing utilities department at Northwich.
Andrew, 27, will be working alongside Peter Baron and Elliw Mostyn covering issues such as compulsory purchase and compensation and delivering property services to United Utilities, principally in the Cheshire and Greater Manchester area.
Originally from a livestock and arable farm on the edge of Exmoor, Andrew graduated from Harper Adams University College REALM (Rural Enterprise and Land management) course in 2005, and qualified MRICS (Member Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) in April 2007. He joins Berrys after five years in mixed practice as an auctioneer with Frank Marshall & Co in Cheshire where he specialised in Single Farm Payment, Entry Level Stewardship, land management and sales.
He is a keen Young Farmer and member and former chairman of Knutsford Young Farmers Club and current chair of the Cheshire YFC Agricultural Discussion Group. He also breeds and shows pedigree Charolais cattle and Oxford Down sheep.
“I am delighted to welcome Andrew to our expanding team. His farming background and qualifications provide him with valuable knowledge and experience regarding every aspect of our agricultural work and I am sure he will be a great asset to the firm,” said Graham Bowcock, Berrys’ partner at Northwich.
Andrew’s appointment at Northwich continues Berrys’ expansion across the country. In the past six months the group has added a further three practitioners to its rural business team and has taken on two additional planners.
Andrew can be conacted at Berrys Northwich office on 01606 49200 or email andrew.sellick@berrybros.com
