Pastureland for sale in renowned stock rearing area

An attractive block of permanent pastureland situated close to the village of Hallaton in Leicestershire has come on the market with Berrys.

The 68.52 acres (27.73 hectares) of grazing in the heart of the renowned Welland Valley stock rearing area has been given a guide price of £365,000.

The parcel is easily accessible and comprises a block of part ridge-and-furrow permanent grassland split into four enclosures. All enclosures have good hedge and fence stock-proof boundaries and have either mains or spring fed water supply.

The land is not currently entered into any Environmental Stewardship Scheme but is being sold with full Single Farm Payment entitlements. All timber, minerals and sporting rights are included within the sale of the freehold.

The property is to be sold by private treaty and offers will be invited for the whole, or any sensible lots.

“Quality grazing in this well known stock rearing area rarely comes to the market so we are anticipating a great deal of interest,” said Tom Arthey who is in charge of the sale at Berrys’ Kettering office.

“The land is easily accessible and has stock proof boundaries with good thick hedges to offer shelter from the worst of the weather,” he added.
