A Northamptonshire land agent is celebrating after gaining her professional surveying qualifications.
Joanna Smith has been elected full membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) after passing her Assessment of Professional Competence examinations.
A practitioner with property specialists Berrys at Kettering, Joanna was awarded her certificate after submitting a lengthy critical analysis of her work and passing an interview and presentation in front of a panel of three chartered surveyors.
Joanna joined Berrys in November 2008 following her graduation from The Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester with an honours degree in Rural Land Management.
She works alongside Nick Bowman in the rural business team at the Kettering office within areas including property management, agency, valuation and planning. With her RICS membership secured she is now working towards her Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (CAAV) qualification.
“This is a fantastic achievement as the exams are a very rigorous test of competence, demanding high standards and a dedicated approach to the course,” said Nick Bowman, a partner at Berrys.
“Joanna will continue to develop her range of professional work and will now be able to take on more responsibility and work with her own clients,” he added.
