Anthony joins specialist planning team

Midlands and North West chartered surveyors group Berrys is expanding its planning and development services with the appointment of Anthony Frendo, a specialist in town and environmental planning.

Anthony, 24, joins as a planning consultant based at the Kettering office to work alongside Paul Johnson, Nick Bowman and Joanna Smith in the growing planning team in Northamptonhire.

“The demand for planning services continues to increase and Anthony’s appointment will help us provide the specialist expertise required in this demanding sector,” said Paul Johnson, senior planner at Berrys’ Kettering office.

“Planning policy is becoming increasingly more complex and we believe that planning and development work is best conduced by dedicated and experienced practitioners trained in the sector and our team is already getting good results.”

“We are delighted to say that we have had an excellent run on successful planning applications made on behalf of clients over the last year, with negotiation and consultation being a hallmark of what we do avoiding the need, in almost all instances, to have to go to appeal.”

Anthony joins Berrys from a national land and property consultancy in Birmingham where he offered planning advice for potential development sites. Prior to that he gained a Masters degree in Environmental Planning at Liverpool John Moores University following a three-year honours degree in human geography at Nottingham Trent University.

 “With the increased volume of demand for rural, urban and commercial planning we now have an experienced team to deal with all aspects of planning and development,” said Paul.

Anthony will be working with private and corporate clients such as accountants, solicitors and developers, preparing plans and attending planning enquiries, advising on enforcement issues and responding to consultations on behalf of landowners and developers.

“Having spent time working in the city I now want to progress my career and look forward to the fresh challenges of rural and urban planning work offered at Berrys, ” Anthony added.
